Working as a therapist in the
Walthamstow and Woodford Green area,
and bringing therapy into schools in East London and Essex.
I hope that this website will explain how my work can support people...

In brief...
I have a private practice in psychotherapy for those in Essex, North and East London. I work as an attachment-based psychotherapist with adults, young people, children and their caregivers. I also work as a supervisor and training therapist in this practice. Bringing therapy into schools in East London and Essex has been an important part of my work. In 1998 I established and continue to run a very successful psychotherapy service, Special Time, for children and their caregivers at Parkhill Junior School in Redbridge. I also run a counselling service at Chigwell School in Essex. I have a role as consultant in private practice and in schools, working with adults in thinking about troubled or troubling children or classes of children.

Consultation describes three areas of my work about which people consult me:
My clients, in both my private practice and the different school settings, come from a wide range of cultural, racial and class backgrounds. I work with lesbians and gay men. I also work with individuals who have a physical or learning disability. Understanding how these differences, as well as individual family history, affect our sense of self and what is possible for us can be an important part of what psychotherapy has to offer.
I look forward to meeting you.

Psychotherapy with adults answers the questions:
- What do psychotherapists do?
- What can psychotherapy do for me?
- How does psychotherapy help?
- What is attachment-based psychotherapy?
- What do people want help with?
Consultation describes three areas of my work about which people consult me:
- Creating Time to Think about Troubled Children was initiated for teaching and non-teaching staff in schools. This is a time and space within which an adult or adults and I can think together about children in their care who may be struggling emotionally in some way.
- Clinical supervision and Training therapy enable me to use the depth of my training and experience to work with other practitioners. Supervision supports others in their own clinical work. Training therapy supports those who themselves are in training to be a therapist in a specific area of therapy, e.g. play, dance, psychotherapy.
